Method of use
1. Place the sharpener on a platform, hold the sharpener firmly with one hand, and hold the knife with the other hand.
2. Choose different grooves for grinding according to the degree of knife bluntness and grinding objects.
Rough grinding (cemented carbide): applicable for first-edging or repairing severely damaged blades, and suitable for blunt knives.
Put a knife into the grinding groove, tilt it forward by about 15°, and pull it back along the arc of the blade with proper and even force. Observe the blade, and usually repeat grinding for three to five times.
Fine grinding (ceramic): applicable to eliminate burrs on the cutting edge and polish the cutting edge smoothly and brightly.
Put a knife into the grinding groove of the ceramic rod, tilt the knife forward by about 15°, and pull it back with a minor force, and repeat grinding for three to five times. Accurate grinding is adviced after coarse grinding or fine grinding.
Scissors grinding groove: applicable for grinding kitchen scissors and stationery scissors. Open the scissors and insert one blade into the grinding groove, and push it forward with proper and even force. When retracting, do not apply force, and repeat grinding for three to five times.
3. After a tool is ground, wipe it with a wet cloth or rinse it with water, and then dry it. Clean the grinding groove of the sharpener with a soft brush to keep the sharpening head clean and dry.
caveat
1. Do not apply too much force when sharpening a knife, so as not to damage the blade.
2. Do not put the sharpener in the dishwasher or water.
3. Do not place the sharpener and knife where children can easily reach, so as to avoid accidents.
