2. How to choose the refractive index of lenses (1.56/1.61/1.67/1.74)
(The higher the refractive index of the lens, the thinner the lens, and the more comfortable it is to wear)
① If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is less than 300 degrees, it is generally recommended to choose lenses with a refractive index of 1.56. Of course, lenses with a refractive index of 1.61/1.67 are also suitable, as they will be thinner and more comfortable to wear.
② If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is greater than 300 and less than 500 degrees, generally choose 1.61 lenses. Of course, 1.67/1.74 lenses are also suitable as they will be thinner and more comfortable to wear.
③ If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is greater than 500 and less than 800 degrees, generally choose 1.67 lenses. Of course, 1.74 lenses are also suitable as they will be thinner and more comfortable to wear.
④ If the sum of your SPH and CYL numbers is greater than 800 degrees, a lens of 1.74 is generally chosen.
